Tikal |

| Upon returning from our hike to El Mirador, we decided to take a day trip (BY MINIBUS! this time) to Tikal. We figured that it would be good to see some excavated ruins for a change. I wasnt all that interested in going after our previous experience, but it turns out that Tikal is a really amazing, beautiful place. We spent the day just wandering around the grounds of what once was this huge, flourishing city. I have been to my share of ruins, but Tikal seems to be just a little more mystical, set in the jungle with interesting plants and animals everywhere. We saw tucans, a fox, tons of monkeys and other really beautiful birds. Overall, I loved it!. |

But then we had to hall ass to get the last minibus back to town. It was so full that there was literally a man riding on the roof |
